Intro to Wilderness Survival
Congratulations to the Lind family for completing our Intro to Wilderness Survival course. This is a 6 hour course designed to get people comfortable in the wilderness and give them some core skills that will be useful not only in the wild, but any time they have to problem solve in life. It is always fun to get families with younger kids out to train, it may not always be as structured and organized as an adult class, but the kids natural curiosity helps the lesson flow in a very natural way while keeping the young ones attention and interest. Very proud that every kid was able to get a fire started with a ferro rod (fire-starter). It took some practice, but practicing resilience is part of the course for a reason.
421 CTS / USAF EC
Just completed an Intro to Critical Situation Training with 13 members of the 421st CTS at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst in New Jersey. Had a great time and trained some amazing Airmen and contractors on vital emergency and survival skills. I want to personally thank all the fine gentlemen that attend the course for being so energetic and receptive. Awesome experience all around, see you all next time
